Introduction to Construction Project Management training course is accredited by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) and offers three (3) credits toward Gold Seal Certification
The training includes a brief introduction to project management principles and focuses on project triple constraints, including:
- Scope Management: learn to create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) from the drawings (scope) provided by the design team, validate scope and control scope
- Cost Management: learn to plan cost management, estimate costs, determine budgets, and control costs
- Project Schedule Management: learn planning schedule management, defining activities, sequencing activities, estimating activity durations, developing schedules, and controlling schedules
The course comprises 4 lessons, culminating in approximately 8 hours of self-paced instruction.
Upon completion, participants will be able to assess the project scope, create WBS, and prepare and manage a project budget and schedule effectively, ensuring control over cost and time overruns.
